general rules
rules apply to all boards
one : be nice. nobody likes a mean person who swears their head off and flames at their least favorite color. please be nice, you'll make more friends if you do!
two : respect the staff. they help run the site, if they aren't the admin. it can be stressful to have someone nagging their butt off while they're trying to do so. we ask that you be nice to the admin, moderators, and the street queen ( well, she demands it, but she "doesn't require it." )
three : god-modding and powerplaying is forbidden. this means don't control other people's characters in a roleplay. and also, don't give your character ten-foot long claws, enormous wings, and weighing in at thirty hundred tons. this is not a fantasy roleplay.
four : this forum is an intermediate roleplay. the word count should be no less than 150 words. to be sure, i've installed a nifty little word count at the bottom of the page. type your post up in notepad or whatever, copy and paste it into the box, and click the button. voila, your count. for roleplaying tips, see the roleplaying tips thread.
five : have fun. roleplaying is supposed to be fun and a great way to make new friends. if you keep it cool and follow the rules, i'm sure that you'll have a great time in sharkstead! :3

in - character rules
time flies when you're having fun
one : no colored text. with colored text on different skins at this forum, it can be hard, if not impossible, to read the text without highlighting. you can bolden your text, put them in italics, underline, change the size... but no colors.
two : again, this is a semi-intermediate roleplay. there is a minimum of 150 words. to count your words, use the word count installed at the bottom of the page.
three : do not take your feelings out in a roleplay. if you're feeling sad, you can make the sky be raining and thundering. but because you're angry in real-life does not mean you can powerplay and make your character instantly kill anything in her path... be realistic.
four : characters must have flaws. do you know what a mary-sue is? it's a character that's beautiful, flawless, and usually is very stong, fearless, and romantic. they aren't allowed here. give your chracter some flaws to make them interesting.
five : no powerplaying / god-modding. that's when you take control of the other character and make them do what you want without permission. or, you give your character ten in claws and hulk-like strength. creating a character like so will result in an instant ban.

one : no chatspeak. only on a designated "noob time" thread created by the staff for sheer pleasure is noob slang allowed. at all other times, please be literate.
two : be courteous. as stated in the general rules, you should be nice. roleplaying is a fun hobby! it should be even more fun because you're meeting new friends from all over - not meeting enemies.
three : report anything you think is wrong. is somebody calling another member a name? is somebody powerplaying / god-modding? if there's any of that or something else, contact the administrator or the street queen immediately.
four : relax. being out of character lets you relax a bit before sending off your next roleplay. it gives you a chance to socialize with someone who you're roleplaying with or ask someone else to start a new one with you! out of character is a time to have fun. so follow my advice and... well, have fun!

let's make love
one : graphic is allowed. if you have graphic breeding in your thread, you have to put "breeding" somewhere in the title, so people know.
two : instant breeding is allowed. this means the roleplay can have two lovers. spot says, "you want pups?" fluffy says, "yes." poof. pregnant.
three : human and beast breeding is not the same. dogs would not get on a bed and have intercourse, would they? and humans don't usually strip of their clothes, wear collars, get on chain leashes, and hump each other randomly? no, they don't (well, I guess it depends on your taste). know what you're roleplaying.
four : force-breeding is allowed. rape abound! human criminals can be on the loose in sharkstead! dogs gangs can be rivaling! plot ideas are all swirling in my head... makes me want to sit down and actually think!

unindexed is often scary!
one : seperate accounts for separate characters. you can have as many characters as you want, but only if you can handle them all.
BANNING RULES :
violate the rules once, you get banned for one day
another time, three days to a week, depending on the severity
after a third strike, you are marked with a permanent IP ban
i try not to ban people. it's something i must do to keep this forum in tip-top shape, though. no whining on my e-mail, aim, or msn if you got banned. it will just make me become even more furious...
