I BET YOU ' RE WONDERING ...

... where did the idea for Sharkstead come from? Sit down, dear visitor or friendly member, for Beatrix Harker ( real name Emily ) has a story to share!

I live in a small town in Southern New Jersey, which is relatively unheard-of because nobody famous has hailed from it. However, the next town over produced Bruce Willis! Awesome, ne? Off-topic, getting back on-topic now. :]

As I was saying, Sharkstead is based off of my hometown. The only difference is this : instead of being near the putrid Delaware River, it's nestled on the New Jersey coast, and renamed Sharkstead! There are several other differences as well, in the locations. There is no Wheatley Park, boardwalk, or beach. I got the name Wheatley from the former owner of my house, who I believe still haunts it to this day. Spooky? Naaah. There is a cemetery, though. Two... three? There's too many in my town to count. o_____o;

All the shops listed are real, except for the photography studio. Some of them are under false names for privacy, but they still have the same function. :]

Why the beach? Because my parents own a condominium on Wildwood, and I was lounging there one day, thinking about how awesome it would be if -------- was located by the shore. So I was all "HAY, I SHUD MAEK A FORUM BOUT DAT." And look where it is today!
